Tips on how to order wire mesh decking for your pallet rack:
- Confirm the upright depth or pallet rack depth by laying your tape measure from front to back of your shelf. You want to measure the outside-to-outside dimension of your beams which will probably be 36", 42", 44" or 48" deep.
- Confirm that the beams have a standard 1-5/8" step. Let us know if you have box beams, structural channel beams or shallow 5/8" step beams.
- Determine the inside beam length between vertical uprights of rack. Standard beam lengths include 96", 108", 120" and 144".
- Determine how much weight you are storing on the wire deck. Load weight on beams with decking must not exceed maximum beam or decking capacity. All stated capacities are based on evenly distributed loads. Loads should be supported by the beams of the rack system. When loads rest on the wire decking, between the beams on a point it is called point loading. We do not recommend point loading.
